The title for this piece comes from a favorite anime of the same name that came out in the summer of 2026. It's a charming story of two smokers who just want a place to light up in peace, and they find each other as well. This sculpture is dominated by a saturated red sequin fabric with light pink highlights. The cigarette is rendered in brown, white, and black fabrics with various accents.
"Smoking Behind the Supermarket With You Balloon" is part of Beck's ongoing 'balloon series,' where ordinary objects are reimagined as foil balloons. It has an attached string made of white sequin trim that is sewn in place. This artwork is fully covered in sequins both front and back, and it has an embedded wire hanger that lets it hang flush to the wall.

The buyer will pay the return shipping fees, and use the original packaging if possible. We will notify you once we've received your return, and you'll be refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too. If more than 15 business days have passed since we've received your return, please contact us at beckbaumann@gmail.com.
Damages and issues: All pieces are packed as carefully as possible, however if the artwork is damaged during shipping we offer two ways to resolve the issue:
- The buyer may return the damaged artwork for a full refund.
- The buyer may return the damaged artwork for repairs (upon consultation with Beck).
