I create sculptures that are entirely covered in sequins. Many of my pieces incorporate thrifted prom and party dresses, giving these sequins a second life as a sparkling piece of art.

The idea grew out of a mid-century craft where styrofoam ornaments were decorated with sequins and beads. Much like that original premise, my work starts with a custom sculpture created from wood and styrofoam. Each piece is designed to hang on the wall or stand as a sculpture — and sometimes it can do both!

Since 2020, I’ve been sculpting sequined eyeballs, candy-coated creations, and anything that comes to mind. I hope my work brings you as much joy as it brings me. ~Beck
