2024, Mixed media & sequins mounted on a wooden board, 20" diameter x 3"
From my "paper plate" series that imagines different lunches I ate as a kid. This three-dimensional wall sculpture has a peanut butter & jelly sandwich with a bite taken out, a bunch of green grapes, a scattering of Cheetos, and a Hostess cupcake with its' trademark white frosting squiggle. The background mimics a white paper plate, entirely made out of sequins, and the border recalls those wicker plate stiffeners that my family kept on hand. This piece is mounted on a solid wooden base, and is wired and ready to hang on the wall.
