I made this piece in 2022, but the new Barbie movie had me pulling it out again. Perhaps I was a bit too harsh on myself in this self portrait, but I had a lot of fun making it. The sequins for Barbie’s skin tone are vintage, probably from the 70s or 80s, and were hard to find. They really capture her tanned plastic skin.
This piece is framed in a wooden silver-colored frame and is wired and ready to hang.
