“Funny Jacket” was inspired by a classic jean jacket that's covered in patches. A hand-carved styrofoam sculpture was built with a real wooden hanger embedded. This sculpture is sanded, sealed and painted. Then, denim-blue sequins with gold ‘stitching’ and silver glitter-resin buttons were applied. The interior is covered in a dark blue sequin fabric that compliments the light blue and gold accepts on the outside. Then came a variety  of sequined and beaded patches of old-time cartoon characters —  Betty Boop, Tweety Bird, Bugs Bunny, the Pink Panther, Woodstock, Miss Piggy, Tigger, and Olive Oyl among them. Several are from the Looney Tunes universe, giving the name “Funny Jacket,” a play on words. 

Funny Jacket is part of Beck's "Jacket Series" that uses the classic denim jacket as a canvas for creative interpretation. This piece has an embedded, internal hanger that lets it 'float' on the wall.

Refund Policy

We have a 14-day return policy, which means you have 14 days after receiving your item to request a return. To start a return, you can contact us at beckbaumann@gmail.com.

The buyer will pay the return shipping fees, and use the original packaging if possible. We will notify you once we've received your return, and you'll be refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too. If more than 15 business days have passed since we've received your return, please contact us at beckbaumann@gmail.com.

Damages and issues: All pieces are packed as carefully as possible, however if the artwork is damaged during shipping we offer two ways to resolve the issue:

  1. The buyer may return the damaged artwork for a full refund.
  1. The buyer may return the damaged artwork for repairs (upon consultation with Beck).
