2024, Mixed media & sequins mounted on a wooden board, 20" diameter x 3"
From my "paper plate" series that imagines different lunches I ate as a kid. This three-dimensional wall sculpture has four fish sticks made with holographic gold sequin trim, two celery sticks, two orange slices, a blob of tartar sauce, and a chocolate chip cookie. The background mimics a white paper plate, entirely made out of sequins, and the border recalls those wicker plate stiffeners that my family kept on hand. This piece is mounted on a solid wooden base, and is wired and ready to hang on the wall.
